This is a short documentary film on the craft of Kothakota Sarees. The movie's title is Nazar, which depicts the various difficulties faced by the village's weavers.
The meaning of the movie Nazar is that the craft has caught a curse or bad luck {Nazar lag gayi), the coming generation doesn't want to follow in the footsteps of their forefathers because of the hardships faced so this beautiful craft is slowly ending.

In the year 2024 I had the chance to travel to Baster and experience their culture arts and crafts, and thier mela. It was one of the best experiences I had along with my friends Abhishek and Arya. Special thanks to MC Mohan sir for giving us the opportunity to experience the whole trip.
This video is just a glimpse of a tribal mela we were lucky enough to experience it. The video shows a drama or you can call it a tribal Natak showing the stories of lord Shiva.
